When you buy a ticket on the Whitewater Dream Home Lottery you have a change to win $465,000 in cash and prizes. The feature win will be the $435,000 home completely furnished. Last years winner Dean Jaleva was on hand at the launch of this years draw held at the Whitewater Golf Club.
“ I was quite shocked with the win. I wasn’t planning on it, but bought my ticket on October 17, 2006 with the draw held December 23rd. I just bought the ticket and didn’t even know where Whitewater was,” smiled Dean Jarvela. “ I sold the house as it was too big for one person and bought myself a smaller, new house in Sherwood Estates backing onto a green space. I kept all the furniture and invested the rest. It totally changed my life. I was living in a small apartment and renting. It changed my life big time. Now I’ve got some good investments, a nice chunk of change and I hope to go for a nice trip this winter.”
“ Last year the house draw went so well we decided to do it again,” stated Todd Armstrong, Chair of the Fort City Kinsmen Dream Home Lottery. “ For a club with only 20 members I was amazed at what we accomplished. All of our net proceeds will go to children’s charity with George Jeffrey being the lead charity.”
