The Magnus Production of Half Life -Very Touching

Half Life By John Mighton and with Director - Mario Crudo runs from  November 29 to December 15, 2007 at Magnus Theatre. It is the story of two nursing home residents, both in their 80's who meet and fall in love, rekindling what might have been a wartime romance. Had they previously met somewhere else under different circumstances? Why is their love so troubling for their children? Indeed, the light at dusk is sometimes warmer and more enveloping than that of the midday sun.

I found the play to be very warm and emotional to watch. For all of us that have had close relationships with our own parents we have experienced their growing old on a very personal level. The Magnus production showed exactly many of the emotions the older person has and
the love of Susan Williamson and George Merner through their charactors was clear. Also the concern for their parents of Actors Jo-Ann Waytowich and  Scott Robert Fink displayed was real. We all will grow old and hope that someone we love will be there to help us when our bodies start to fail us.
Half Live is a beautiful performance to see and will certainly have you think about growing old and how life will be then.
