Regenerative medicine is a rapidly expanding multi-disciplinary field that incorporates the use of cells, genes, molecules and bioengineered materials for the goal of replacing, repairing or regenerating organs and tissues. Tissue banking is considered the most elemental from of
regenerative medicine and RegenMed has completed their Munro Street facility  including a tissue bank.
“ At RegenMed were are very excited to develop a relationship with TBRHS. We are getting some femoral heads  in a hip replacement surgery  and we’ll store them in our freezer. This is what we do. We want to be leaders in regenerative medicine and are also interested in economic development in Thunder Bay leading to jobs.  That is very important to us.” said a representative of RegenMed at a press conference.
