This is a wonderful city which I have visited three times in the last 6 or 7 months. My brother calls this city home where he is marketing manager at Fort William Historical Park. It too bad more Canadians don't get to see Thunder Bay, stated Bruce Stanton, MP for Simcoe North here representing Tony Clement Minister Responsible for Fed Nor. The youth internship program is where young people coming out of college or university get engaged in projects. The great thing is it keeps young professionals right in their home communities and statistics prove 70 % of the young people who have gone through this program continue to be leaders in their cities.
Med Nexus is a Thunder Bay based company which is developing software to advance electronic health records so that medial professionals and others can better access medical information. Canada continues to be behind in E- health as well as patient wait times and
patient care in general. In Europe they have perfected it  but we have work to do here in Canada. The new software will assist medical professionals in recording medical information so that patients as well as the medical professionals can get the information as well as
protecting the patient rights. Before everything was done on paper which increases error. It is easier to archive and transport the information to the next professional. This is one way we will improve health care. stated Stanton. Fednor continues to be important in Northern Ontario and will help promote economic growth. The province of Alberta is facing a critical labour shortage and we have lots of capacity to do work for the booming oil sands here in Thunder Bay. We can provide a very valuable work force for the oil sands projects. We see this money from Fednor will help us a generate a good profile in the west for attracting work here. noted Steve Demming of the TBEDC.
