City Celebrates 100th Anniversary of Strathcona Golf Course!

It was great to attend the 100th Anniversary Celebration of Strathcona Golf Course which featured formal remarks from designates and members of the golf community, followed by the unveiling of a commemorative historical exhibit.
A ceremonial putt using a 100-year-old club and ball took place on the putting green, paying tribute to the course's rich legacy.
Attending were: • John Collin, City Manager – City of Thunder Bay • Cory Halvorsen, Manager – Parks & Open Spaces • Pat Berezowski, Supervisor – Golf Services • Brian Mallon, longtime member, former Chairman of the Strathcona Invitational, Hall of Fame inductee • George Romick, Captain – Director & Curator, Thunder Bay Military Museum • Craig Loughry, Director of Membership – Golf Association of Ontario
Strathcona is having a banner year with a high level of participation from golfers of all ages.
The famed Strathcona Invitational tournament , it's prestigious match play event was also just held!
