THUNDER BAY BUSINESS WOMEN'S NETWORK

By Sherry Aalto
The place to have been on September 20th, 2011, 7:00 P.M., was the Best Western PLUS Nor'Wester Hotel and Conference Centre on highway 61 South. Dinner and powerful speakers with powerful messages was the focus of the evening for the Thunder Bay Business Women's Network.Inspiring others to not only step up to the plate for the greater good, but to actually draw them into your confidence and then have them go out and challenge their own limitations is not only amazing, but it is most certainly a gift.

That is exactly what Robbi Weldon, Para-Nordic Skier/ World Champion Cyclist, and Meg Soper, National Humourist Motivational Speaker do when ever either of these extremely accomplished women speak to an audience. They are so electric, you would be hard pressed to escape the energy in the room! Both of these ladies come by their convictions in the most honest way...they lived through the experiences they speak of. Their presentations are based on their own true experiences and obstacles they had to overcome in order to succeed in life and in their chosen
careers. It is said that 'a man discovers himself in the face of adversity', and the same is true for a woman. So it is not a wonder when you believe in your convictions and when you work together, you can accomplish much!
The old cliche 'there is strength in numbers' has proven to be true over and over again, in many ways, with many people or many things. The thing about realizing success, is that you do not have to do anything amazing alone. You do simple things together, and the end result is
amazing! That is what the Thunder Bay Business Women's Network has to date accomplished and will continue to accomplish for as long as they support land challenge their themselves in the interest of their vision for business, themselves and their communities.

If you are a woman, and you have a passion for business, you might find that this organization is something you should be part of. The information that will be imparted to you and the experiences shared will be invaluable. 'Women in business?'!! Who ever heard of such a
thing? This organization is just that! Organized! Thunder Bay Business Women's Network! Proudly moving forward with you! Contact them and be a part of women moving forward.
